Blessing of the CSBA Tomb

The Phase III restoration is nearly complete! Join us on All Saints Day at our newly renovated tomb in Metairie Cemetery for a blessing of the tomb by our own resident deacon and CSBA vice-president, Ken Boe (famiglia Segreto/Martello). The CSBA tomb was inaugurated in 1882 and this is likely the first time in its 143 ye ar history that it has received a refurbishing. We’ll have a table set up with light refreshments and information on the tomb and its restoration. Click HERE for some impressive images of the Phase III restoration in progress. Other events that day in Metairie Cemetery include the Contessa Entellina society service and blessing of their tomb just down “Italian Row” from the CSBA tomb. This typically starts at 3pm but I haven’t been able to confirm their event. Also at 4pm, LakeLawn Funeral home will host a Catholic mass at 4pm officiated by Archbishop Greg Aymond.

Il restauro della Fase III è quasi completato! Unitevi a noi il giorno di Ognissanti presso la nostra tomba recentemente ristrutturata nel Cimitero di Metairie per la benedizione della tomba da parte del nostro diacono residente e vicepresidente del CSBA, Ken Boe (famiglia Segreto/Martello). La tomba del CSBA fu inaugurata nel 1882 e questa è probabilmente la prima volta nei suoi 143 anni di storia che viene restaurata. Altri eventi quel giorno al Cimitero di Metairie includono la cerimonia funebre della Contessa Entellina Society e la benedizione della loro tomba, appena oltre “Italian Row” dalla tomba del CSBA. Di solito inizia alle 15:00, ma non sono riuscito a confermare l’evento. Sempre alle 16:00, la LakeLawn Funeral Home ospiterà una messa cattolica officiata dall’Arcivescovo Greg Aymond.
